PROCLAMATION APPOINTING MONDAY, THE TWENTY-FIRST DAY
OF August, 1950, TO BE A BANK HOLIDAY.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of the Bank Holidays Act (Cap. 114)
it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time with the advice of
the Executive Council issue a Proclamation appointing a special day to
be reserved as a Bank Holiday;
AN DWHEREAS it is desirable that Monday, the 21st day of August,
1950, should be observed as a Bank Holiday in the Colony;
NOW, THEREFORE. I do hereby, by and with the advice of the
Executive Council of the Colony of Dominica and in exercise of the pow-
ers conferred on me by the Act aforesaid and of all other powers and
authorities me thereunto enabling appoint Monday, the 21st day of Aug
ust, 1950, as a special day to be reserved and kept as a Bank Holiday
throughout the Colony and I do by this my Proclamation command a 11
His Majesty's loving subjects in the Colony to order themselves accord-
ingly.
