Parade at the Botanic Gardens
on the 9th June 195..

1. 09.00 hours His Hno.ur arrives at
Saluting Base, 'Union Jack" is
broken and General Salute is given.
(First half of National Anthem is
played )
2. His Honour inspects Parade and
returns to Salucing Base.
3. Troops March Past' in column and
return to original position.
4. His Honour and Staff move four
paces to their left and turn facing
Saluting Base (Union Jack is low-
ered).
Z5. 'Royal Standard 'is broken. Troops
give Royal Salute (whole verse of
National Anthem is played),
i6. His Honour and Staff turn facing
Parade.
7. Troops fire Feu-de-Joie"
After 1st volley-ist half-verse
National Anthem played.
After 2nd volley-2nd half verse
National Anthefn played.

BANK HOLIDAY.

PROCLAMATION APPOINTING FRIDAY, THE 9TH DAY OF JUNE
1950, TO BE A BANK HOLIDAY INSTEAD OF THURSDAY, THE
14TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1950.

WHEREAS under the provisions of the Bank Holidays Act
(Cap. 114) it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time
with the advice of the Executive Council issue a Proclamation
appointing a special day to be reserved as a Bank ,Holiday, and
may, in like manner from time to time, when it is made to appear
to him in Council in any special case, that in any year it is inex.
pedient that a day by the said Act appointed a Bank Holiday
should be a Bank Holiday, declare that such day shall not in such
a year be a Bank Holiday, and appoint such other day as to him
in Council may seem fit to be a Bank Holiday, instead of such day.
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the celebration of the
anniversary of the birth of Our Sovereign Lord the King should
be observed in this year on Friday, the 9th of June, instead of on
Thursday, the 14th day of December.
NOW, THEREFORE, I do hereby, by and with the advice of
the Executive Council of the Colony of Dominica and in the exer-
cise of the powers conferred by the said Act, declare that Thurs-
day, the 14th day of December, shall not in this year be a Bank
Holiday, and appoint Friday, the 9th day of June, 1950, as a spec-
ial day to be reserved and kept as a Bank Holiday throughout the
Colony instead of such day, and I do by this my Proclamation
command that the said 9th day of June, 1950, be so reserved and
kept, and all His Majesty's loving subjects in the Colony to order
themselves accordingly.
GIVEN at the Government House, Dominica, this 1st day of
June, 1950, and in the fourteenth year of His Majesty's
Reign.
GOD SAVE THE KING!
