PROCLAMATION APPOINTING WEDNESDAY, THE TWENTY-SIXTH
DAY OF APRIL, 1950, TO BE A BANK HOLIDAY.

WHEREAS under the provisions of the Bank Holidays Act
(Cap. 114) it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time
with the advice of the Executive Council issue a Proclamation
appointing a special day to be reserved as a Bank Holiday;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable that Wednesday, the Twenty-
sixth day of April, 1950, should be observed as a Bank Holiday in
the Colony;
NOW, THEREFORE, I do hereby, by and with the advice of
the Executive Council of the Colony of Dominica and in the exer-
cise of the powers conferred on me by the Act aforesaid and of all
other powers .and, .authorities. mQ.;thereupto enabling appoint

Wednesday, the Twenty-sixth day of April, 1950, as a special day
to be reserved and kept as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony
and I do by this Proclamation command all His Majesty's loving
subjects in the Colony to order themselves accordingly.
GIVEN at the Government House, Dominica. this 20th day of
April, 1950, and in the fourteenth year of His Majesty's
Reign.
