from Monday 5th October inclusive.

Hononr on a part of the tour.

2. This will be the first official
visit to Barbuda by the Administrator
and Mrs. ROSE since His Honour
assumed office in March this year.

Following upon the Agreement
between the United Kingdom and
the Federal Republic of Germany
concerning compensation for United
Kingdom nationals who were victims
of National-Socialist Measures of
Persecution, signed in Bonn on the
9th June, 1964, a registration of
claims is being undertaken by the
Foreign Office. Applications are in-
vited from United Kingdom nationals
who were victims of Nazi persecution
and suffered detention in a concen-
tration camp or comparable institu-
tion (NOT in an internment nor in a
prisoner of war camp). In the case
of a deceased victim an application
for registration may be made by the
nearest surviving relative in the fol-
lowing order, spouse, child, parent,
brother or sister. Eligible applicants
who have previously corresponded
with the Foreign Office and are still
at the same address need not apply
again unless they have not received a
communication within three months.
The registration will close on the
31st July, 1965.

from the Secretary to the Adminis-
trator, Administration Building, St.
John’s.

(Amendment) Regulations, 1964.”

The attention of all electricity con-
sumers is drawn to Section 21, Para-
graghs (6) and (e) of Electricity
Ordinance No. 36 of 1956, which
state:

(0) (if a consumer) makes any
alteration in his installation
without the previous approval of
the Director; or

(e) interferes with any main fuse,
apparatus or seal of the under-
taking on his premises,

The Director may, if he thinks fit,
discontinue the supply of electrical
energy to the premises of that con-
sumer for such reasonable time as he
may think fit.

Montserrat—Resolutions.

WHEREAS it is provided by Sub-
section (3) of Section 33 of the Land
and Buildings Tax Ordinance, 1964,
that Regulations made under the
provisions of Subsection (1) of the
said section shall have no effect until
they have been approved by a resolu-
tion of the Legislative Council.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Regu-
lations entitled “The Land and
Buildings Tax Regulations, 1964,”
made by the Administrator in Coun-
ceil on 21st July, 1964, under the
provisions of Subsection (1) of Section
33 of the Land and Buildings Tax
Ordinance, 1964 (No. 3 of 1964) be
approved by this Coungil.

WHEREAS section 7 of the
Finance and Audit Ordinance, 1963
No. 4 of 1963, empowers this Council
to authorise the Minister of Finance
to borrow by means of an advance
from a bank, money to meet current
requirements, and

WHEREAS -the current balance of
the Consolidated Revenue Fund of
the Colony will be insufficient
to meet current requirements until
such time as the grant-in-aid for the
last qnarter of 1964 can be made
available,

BE IT RESOLVED that the Minis-
ter cf Finance on behalf of the
Government of the Colony borrow
by means of a fluctuating overdraft,
from the Royal Bank of Canada to
meet current requirements a sum not
exceeding $125,000 for a period not:
exceeding three months from Sep-
tember 16, 1964.

CocncIL WITH THE SANCTION OF THE SECRETARY OF
STATE UNDER THE Provisions OF SUBSECTION (2) OF
Section 3 or THE Penstons Act, 1947 (No. 12/1947).

1, Crration. These Regulations may be cited as the
Pensions (Amendment) Regulations, 1964, and shall be read
as one with the Pensions: Regulations, 1947, contained in the
First Schedule to the Pensions Act, 1947, as amended, here-
inafter called the Principal Regulations :

2 AmenpMent oF Requtation 8 or THE PrinciPaL
Regutations. Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is
hereby amended—

(a) by the renumbering of paragraph (2) as para-
graph (3);

(4) by the insertion of the following paragraph next after
paragraph (1), as paragraph (2).

‘“©(2) For the purpose of these Regulations—

(a) any officer in public service under the Government of
the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland immedi-
ately before the Ist January, 1964, who was
immediately before that date employed on_second-
ment to service under the Government of Southern
Rhodesia, or Northern Rhodesia or Nyasaland, or
was as from that date so emploved shall be deemed
to continue to serve in public service under the
Government of the Federation of Rhodesia and
Nyasaland until his employment on secondment 1s
terminated.

(4) any pension awarded on or after the Ist January,
1964 in respect of service under the Government of
the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland shall be
deemed to have been granted by that Government
notwithstanding the provisions of The Federation of
Rhodesia and Nyasaland (Dissolution) Order: in
Council, 1963.” ,

3. AMENDMENT or First ScHEDULE TO THE PRincI-
paL Recurations. The First Schedule to the Principal
Regulations is hereby amended by inserting the item “ British
Antartic Territory” immediately after the item “ Bermuda ”

Following upon the Agreement
between the United Kingdom and
the Federal Republic of Germany
concerning compensation for United
Kingdom nationals who were victims
of National-Socialist Measures of
Persecution, signed in Bonn on the
9th June, 1964, a registration of
claims is being undertaken by the
Foreign Office. Applications are in-
vited from United Kingdom nationals
who were victims of Nazi persecution
and suffered detention in a concen-
tration camp or comparable institu-
tion (NOT in an internment nor in a
prisoner of war camp). In the case
of a deceased victim an application
for registration may be made by the
nearest surviving relative in the fol-
lowing order, spouse, child, parent,
brother or sister. Eligible applicants
who have previously corresponded
with the Foreign Office and are still
at the same address need not apply
again unless they have not received a
communication within three months.
The registration will close on the
31st July, 1965.

The attention of all electricity con-
sumers is drawn to Section 21, Para-
graghs (6) and (e) of Electricity
Ordinance No. 36 of 1956, which
state:

(0) (if a consumer) makes any
alteration in his installation
without the previous approval of
the Director; or

(e) interferes with any main fuse,
apparatus or seal of the under-
taking on his premises,

The Director may, if he thinks fit,
discontinue the supply of electrical
energy to the premises of that con-
sumer for such reasonable time as he
may think fit.

WHEREAS it is provided by Sub-
section (3) of Section 33 of the Land
and Buildings Tax Ordinance, 1964,
that Regulations made under the
provisions of Subsection (1) of the
said section shall have no effect until
they have been approved by a resolu-
tion of the Legislative Council.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Regu-
lations entitled “The Land and
Buildings Tax Regulations, 1964,”
made by the Administrator in Coun-
ceil on 21st July, 1964, under the
provisions of Subsection (1) of Section
33 of the Land and Buildings Tax
Ordinance, 1964 (No. 3 of 1964) be
approved by this Coungil.

WHEREAS section 7 of the
Finance and Audit Ordinance, 1963
No. 4 of 1963, empowers this Council
to authorise the Minister of Finance
to borrow by means of an advance
from a bank, money to meet current
requirements, and

WHEREAS -the current balance of
the Consolidated Revenue Fund of
the Colony will be insufficient
to meet current requirements until
such time as the grant-in-aid for the
last qnarter of 1964 can be made
available,

BE IT RESOLVED that the Minis-
ter cf Finance on behalf of the
Government of the Colony borrow
by means of a fluctuating overdraft,
from the Royal Bank of Canada to
meet current requirements a sum not
exceeding $125,000 for a period not:

Section 3 or THE Penstons Act, 1947 (No. 12/1947).

1, Crration. These Regulations may be cited as the
Pensions (Amendment) Regulations, 1964, and shall be read
as one with the Pensions: Regulations, 1947, contained in the
First Schedule to the Pensions Act, 1947, as amended, here-
inafter called the Principal Regulations :

2 AmenpMent oF Requtation 8 or THE PrinciPaL
Regutations. Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is
hereby amended—

(a) by the renumbering of paragraph (2) as para-
graph (3);

(4) by the insertion of the following paragraph next after
paragraph (1), as paragraph (2).

‘“©(2) For the purpose of these Regulations—

(a) any officer in public service under the Government of
the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland immedi-
ately before the Ist January, 1964, who was
immediately before that date employed on_second-
ment to service under the Government of Southern
Rhodesia, or Northern Rhodesia or Nyasaland, or
was as from that date so emploved shall be deemed
to continue to serve in public service under the
Government of the Federation of Rhodesia and
Nyasaland until his employment on secondment 1s
terminated.

(4) any pension awarded on or after the Ist January,
1964 in respect of service under the Government of
the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland shall be
deemed to have been granted by that Government
notwithstanding the provisions of The Federation of
Rhodesia and Nyasaland (Dissolution) Order: in
Council, 1963.” ,

3. AMENDMENT or First ScHEDULE TO THE PRincI-
paL Recurations. The First Schedule to the Principal
Regulations is hereby amended by inserting the item “ British
Antartic Territory” immediately after the item “ Bermuda ”
