AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES.
In persuance of the requirements of section
3 (2) (a) of the Aid to Pioneer Industrics
Ordinance, 1959 (No. 9 of 1950) Tt is hereby
notified for general information that the Admin-
istrator in council proposes to make the undermen-
tioned Order under section 8(1) of the said Ordi-
nance. Any person who objects to the making of
such Order shall give notice in writing of his
objection and of the grounds on which he relies in
support thereof to the Clerk to the Executive
Council on or before the day of 1964.

Motor Vehicle
Tenders are invited for the com-
prehensive insurance coverage of all
Government owned motor vehicles
for the period 15th July 1964 to 14th
July, 1965. There are Approximately
100 motor vehicles including trailers
and Cane Carts.

will expire on the termination of the
Policy and in such case for an adjust-

An Ordinance to amend the Workmen’s Compensa-
tion Ordinance, 1962.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of the Virgin Islands.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Work-
men’s Compensation (Amendment) Ordinance,
1964, and shall be read as one with the Workmen’s
Compensation Ordinance, 1962, hereinafter called
the Principal Ordinance.
2. Subsection (1) of section 22 of the
Principal Ordinance is hereby amended by—
(a) substituting a full-stop for the semi-colon
at the end thereof, and
(6) deleting therefrom the proviso thereto.

MAGISTRATE’S COURT, DISTRICTS “A†AND “B†(ANTIGUA)
Order in Council dated 21st May, 1964, made by the Admin-
istrator in Counoil under section 16 of the Magistrate’s
Code of Procedure Act (Cap. 61) appointing the Place
and Days for the Holding of the Sittings of Magistrates’
Courts for Districts “A†and “Bâ€.
WHEREAS by section 16 of the Magistrate’s Code of
Procedure Act, (Cap. 61), it is enacted that the Administrator
may by Order in Council from time to time appoint the places
where and the times when Magistrate’s Courts shall be held in
the several Districts:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Administrator in Council doth
hereby order and appoint as follows:—
1. Ssorr TITLE and CoMMENCEMENT. This Order may
be cited as the Magistrate’s Court (Districts “A.†and “B’’)
Order, 1964, and shall come into operation on the 15th day of
June, 1964.
2. Sirrincs or Courts.. The Magistrate’s Court for
Districts “A†and ‘‘B†shall be held at 9 a.m. or such other
’ time as the Magistrate of the District or the Additional Magis-
trate presiding over the said Court may appoint on the days in
each week and at the places shewn hereunder:—

At the Magistrate’s Court (the new building
situate at the corner of High and Temple Streets,
in the city of St. John, on any week day except
Saturday:
Provided that the Court shall be held on any
Saturday as may be considered necessary by the
. Magistrate of the District or the Additional

The Porters and Boatmen (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations,
1964, dated February 13,1964, made by the Adminis-
trator in Council under section 12 of the Porters and
Boatmen Ordinance, 1918 (No. 8 of 1918).
1. Short Title. These Regulations may be cited as
the Porters and Boatmen (fees) (Amendment) Regulations,
1964, and shall be read as one with the Porters and Boatmen
(Fees) Regulations, 1943 (S.R. & O. 1948, No. 2) as amended,
hereinafter called the Principal Regulations.

Tae Motor Venictes (IntERNATIONAL CrrcuLATIoN) ORDER,
1964, DATED Apri 18, 1964, MADE BY THE GOVERNOR IN
CouNciL UNDER SECTION 69 or THE VEHICLES AND Roap
TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, 1950 (No. 4 oF 1951).
1. Ssorr Trruz. This Order may be cited as the
Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) Order, 1964,
2. InrerpretaTIon. In this Order— .
“ Convention driving permit †means a driving permit in
the form in the Schedule to this Order issued under
the authority of any country, whether or not that
country is a party to the convention on Road Trafie
concluded at Geneva in the year 1949.
“domestic driving permit†in relation to a country
outside the Colony means a document issued under
the law of that country and authorizing the holder to
drive more vehicles, or « specified class or description
of motor vehicles, in that country, and includes a
driving permit issued by the armed forces of any
country outside the Colony for use in some other
country outside the Colony.
8. Documents ror DRIVERS-GOING ABRoAD. (1) The
Licensing Officer may issue for use outside the Colony a
Convention driving permit to a person who has -attained the
age of eighteen years and satisfied the Licensing Officer—
(a) that he is competent to drive motor vehicles of the
classes or descriptions for which the permit is to be
issued, and
(5) that he is a resident in the Colony:
Provided that a permit in form A which is restricted to motor
cycles or invalid carriages may be issued to a person under
eighteen years of age.
(2) The fee for each such permit shall be $3.60

4. Vistror’s Drivine Permits. (1) Subject to the
provisions of this section it shall be lawful for person’ who has
attained the ave of eighteen years and is resident outside the
Colony and who is temporarily in the Colony and holds—
(a) a Convention driving permit issued in any country
outside the Colony; or
(6) a domestic driving permit issued in any country out-
side the Colony, during a period of twelve months
from the date of his last entry into the Colony to
drive and to be employed in driving in the Colony a
motor vehicle of any class or description which he is
authorised by that permit or that licence to drive,
notwithstanding that he is not the holder of a driver’s
licence under Part. II of the Vehicles and Road
Traffic Ordinance, 1950.
(2) This section shall not authorise a person to drive a
motor vehicle of any class or description if, in consequence of a
conviction or of the order of « court, he is disqualified from
holding a driver’s licence under the provisions of the Vehicles
and Road Traffic Ordinance, 1950, or any other law in force
in the Colony.

This permit is valid in the territory of all the Contracting States,
with the exception of the territory of the Contracting State where
issued, for the period of one year from the date of issue, for the
driving of vehicles included in the category or categories mentioned on
the last page of this permit.

obligation of the holder to conform strictly to the laws and regulations
relating to residence or to the exercise of a profession which are in

“ Permissible maximum weight†of a vehicle means the weight of
the vehicle and its maximum lead when the vehicle is ready for the
road.
‘*Maximum load†means the weight of the load declared permis-
sible by the competent authority of the country of registration of the
vehicle.
‘“‘ Light trailers†shall be those of a permissible maximum weight
not exceeding 750 kg (1,650 Ibs.).

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES.
In persuance of the requirements of section
3 (2) (a) of the Aid to Pioneer Industrics
Ordinance, 1959 (No. 9 of 1950) Tt is hereby
notified for general information that the Admin-
istrator in council proposes to make the undermen-
tioned Order under section 8(1) of the said Ordi-
nance. Any person who objects to the making of
such Order shall give notice in writing of his
objection and of the grounds on which he relies in
support thereof to the Clerk to the Executive
Council on or before the day of 1964.

Government owned motor vehicles

tion Ordinance, 1962.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of the Virgin Islands.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Work-
men’s Compensation (Amendment) Ordinance,
1964, and shall be read as one with the Workmen’s
Compensation Ordinance, 1962, hereinafter called
the Principal Ordinance.
2. Subsection (1) of section 22 of the
Principal Ordinance is hereby amended by—
(a) substituting a full-stop for the semi-colon
at the end thereof, and
(6) deleting therefrom the proviso thereto.

MAGISTRATE’S COURT, DISTRICTS “A†AND “B†(ANTIGUA)
Order in Council dated 21st May, 1964, made by the Admin-
istrator in Counoil under section 16 of the Magistrate’s
Code of Procedure Act (Cap. 61) appointing the Place
and Days for the Holding of the Sittings of Magistrates’
Courts for Districts “A†and “Bâ€.
WHEREAS by section 16 of the Magistrate’s Code of
Procedure Act, (Cap. 61), it is enacted that the Administrator
may by Order in Council from time to time appoint the places
where and the times when Magistrate’s Courts shall be held in
the several Districts:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Administrator in Council doth
hereby order and appoint as follows:—
1. Ssorr TITLE and CoMMENCEMENT. This Order may
be cited as the Magistrate’s Court (Districts “A.†and “B’’)
Order, 1964, and shall come into operation on the 15th day of
June, 1964.
2. Sirrincs or Courts.. The Magistrate’s Court for
Districts “A†and ‘‘B†shall be held at 9 a.m. or such other
’ time as the Magistrate of the District or the Additional Magis-
trate presiding over the said Court may appoint on the days in
each week and at the places shewn hereunder:—

situate at the corner of High and Temple Streets,
in the city of St. John, on any week day except

1964, dated February 13,1964, made by the Adminis-
trator in Council under section 12 of the Porters and
Boatmen Ordinance, 1918 (No. 8 of 1918).
1. Short Title. These Regulations may be cited as
the Porters and Boatmen (fees) (Amendment) Regulations,

1964, DATED Apri 18, 1964, MADE BY THE GOVERNOR IN
CouNciL UNDER SECTION 69 or THE VEHICLES AND Roap
TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, 1950 (No. 4 oF 1951).
1. Ssorr Trruz. This Order may be cited as the
Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) Order, 1964,
2. InrerpretaTIon. In this Order— .
“ Convention driving permit †means a driving permit in
the form in the Schedule to this Order issued under
the authority of any country, whether or not that
country is a party to the convention on Road Trafie
concluded at Geneva in the year 1949.
“domestic driving permit†in relation to a country
outside the Colony means a document issued under
the law of that country and authorizing the holder to
drive more vehicles, or « specified class or description
of motor vehicles, in that country, and includes a
driving permit issued by the armed forces of any
country outside the Colony for use in some other
country outside the Colony.
8. Documents ror DRIVERS-GOING ABRoAD. (1) The
Licensing Officer may issue for use outside the Colony a
Convention driving permit to a person who has -attained the
age of eighteen years and satisfied the Licensing Officer—
(a) that he is competent to drive motor vehicles of the
classes or descriptions for which the permit is to be
issued, and
(5) that he is a resident in the Colony:
Provided that a permit in form A which is restricted to motor
cycles or invalid carriages may be issued to a person under
eighteen years of age.
(2) The fee for each such permit shall be $3.60

4. Vistror’s Drivine Permits. (1) Subject to the
provisions of this section it shall be lawful for person’ who has
attained the ave of eighteen years and is resident outside the
Colony and who is temporarily in the Colony and holds—
(a) a Convention driving permit issued in any country
outside the Colony; or
(6) a domestic driving permit issued in any country out-
side the Colony, during a period of twelve months
from the date of his last entry into the Colony to
drive and to be employed in driving in the Colony a
motor vehicle of any class or description which he is
authorised by that permit or that licence to drive,
notwithstanding that he is not the holder of a driver’s
licence under Part. II of the Vehicles and Road
Traffic Ordinance, 1950.
(2) This section shall not authorise a person to drive a
motor vehicle of any class or description if, in consequence of a
conviction or of the order of « court, he is disqualified from
holding a driver’s licence under the provisions of the Vehicles
and Road Traffic Ordinance, 1950, or any other law in force
in the Colony.

This permit is valid in the territory of all the Contracting States,
with the exception of the territory of the Contracting State where
issued, for the period of one year from the date of issue, for the
driving of vehicles included in the category or categories mentioned on
the last page of this permit.
