ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS in
Antigua are advised that this Depart-
ment’s secondary mains operate at
400 volts 3 phase/230 volts single
phase 6 cycles per second except for
Coolidge Air Field, Hodges Bay,
Cedar Grove and Parham areas.

2. From Ist April, 1964, appara-
tus and appliances, together with any
associated transformers, for any other
voltage or frequency should not be
installed without the prior inspection
and approval of an officer of this
Department, who may cal] for addi-
tional corrective devices.

3. Furthermore, this Department
will not accept responsibility for
damage to non-standard equipment
due to voltage variations, which are
largely caused by the use of such
equipment.

Public Auction at Point Warehouse

Section 75 of the Income Tax Ordinance
No. 13 of 1957.

75. business by way of trade carrying a
stock in trade in excess of five hun-
dred dollars or in any profession shall
keep in the English language proper
books of account sufficient to record
all transactions necessary in order to
ascertain the gains and profits made
or the loss incurred in each guch trade,
business or profession, and any such
person who fails to comply with the
provisions of this section shall be
guilty of an offence against this Ordi-
nance, and in addition to any penalty
incurred he shall be liable to payany
tax to which he may be assessed un-
der the provisions of this Ordinance.

Declaration

DECLARATION dated 3rd march,
1964 made under section 3 of the
Land Acquisition Ordinance, 1957
(No. 4 of 1957) for the acquisition of
Land in the colony of the Virgin
Islands for a public purpose.

IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that
the Administrator in Council with
the approval of the Legislative Coun-
cil of the colony of the Virgin Islands
considers that a portion of land sit-
uate at Fat Hog’s Bay in the Island
of Tortola ana more particually
described in the Schedule hereto,
should be acquired fora public pur-
pose namely, for the establishment of
a Public Burial Ground and for
building sites.

A plan of the siid land may be
inspected at the Administrator’s
Office, Road Town, between the hourg
of 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon on any day
except Sundays or public holidays.

Schedule

All that portion of land comprising
2.48 acres situate at Fat Hog’s Bay in
the Island of Tortola and bounded as
follows:- on the north by lands of
Melvina Stevens for a distance of
358 feet; On the South by lands of
Rebecca Skelton for a distance of 135
feet; On the east by the Public Road
for a distance of 289 feet; and on the
West by lands of Egluntine Penn for
a distance of 304 feet 4 inches.

As a result of the enactment of Exchange Control legislation in British Guiana, movements of currency notes by travellers from
that Territory to other Territories participating in the Currency Ayreement appear to have become abnormal since 1962 and
the circulation in some Territories, on the basis of issues less withdrawals, adjusted to take account of Bank transfers, ‘has in
consequence become unrealistic and in fact misleading.

IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that

the approval of the Legislative Coun-
cil of the colony of the Virgin Islands

uate at Fat Hog’s Bay in the Island
of Tortola ana more particually
