LIVING ACCOMMODATIONS

The housing facilities of the Residence Hall System have been

probability that the Residence Halls on the campus will be used to
house soldiers during the Summer Session. Adequate space in private
rooming houses will supplement the expanded facilities of the Resi-
dence Hall System. The Director of Residence, the Dean of Students,
and the Dean of the Summer Session will assist students in locating
satisfactory living quarters. Lists of approved rooming houses will
be sent promptly to prospective students upon request. The list will
include information as to location, type of room, and rental.
Many private boarding houses adjacent to the campus will be open
during the Summer Session. The Cafeteria of the P. K. Yonge Labora-
tory School will operate in much the same manner as the University
Cafeteria has in former summers. The University Soda Fountain has
expanded its facilities and will serve meals and lunches. Cost of
meals will range from $5.50 per week, depending upon the individual's
choice of boarding accommodations.

4 GENERAL INFORMATION

The Summer Session will be coeducational.
A beginning class will be available to students who have just
graduated from high school.
Students will be permitted to take a maximum load of nine
semester hours per term.

COURSES

It will be noted that some courses carry the title Individual
Work or Problems in various fields. These courses are designed to
permit individuals who are qualified to work on projects of particu-
lar need to them. Students should always consult with the instructors
or department heads before enrolling in such courses.
In several instances the credit for courses is given as variable.
This means that one or more credits may be earned, depending upon the
amount of work completed by the student. In such courses the student
is required to designate after consultation with the instructor and
at the time of registration the number of credits he wishes to com-
plete. After registration the number of credits cannot be changed.
