The Long Term Monitored Reef Project began in 2003 along the north shore of Moorea, French Polynesia. The data collected describe changes in characteristics of 198 monitored reefs, including reef morphology, coral, and other benthic communities Changes in characteristics of the reefs can be used to evaluate changes in fish communities, especially in the families Labridae, Scaridae and Pomacentridae, around these reefs. Data collection is ongoing.
