- General Note:
- The slides were taken on collecting trips sponsored by the William L. Bryant Foundation, where books, music and art indigenous to the regions were gathered. The are organized by geographical location.
- General Note:
- Part of the “sugar works†yard of the Good Hope Plantation in Trelawny, Jamaica. Sugar cane would be processed in the sugar mill and the juice would then be carried across the river in an aqueduct which ran along the bridge to the factory, where sugar was made. Part of the yard included a storage building. Also pictured are bamboo trees planted along the river banks. Slide labeled River Hope Plantation
